25th Anniversary 25 Random Acts of Kindness
For more than 25 years, Hogan Design & Construction (HDC) has been transforming Chicagoland homes and lives through their innovative and award-winning brand of luxury home remodeling, custom home building, and community-first philosophy. During the 2025 25th anniversary year, HDC performed 25 Random Acts of Kindness throughout the communities they serve.
April 2025
To launch their 2025 Random Acts of Kindness initiative, the HDC team gathered in April to volunteer at the Aurora, Illinois chapter of Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). The team dedicated their time to packing meals, an experience they found incredibly rewarding as they knew their efforts would impact hundreds of children. May 2025
On May 25th, Hogan Design & Construction spread some warmth in Batavia, Illinois, by purchasing coffee and hot beverages for 25+ patrons at Limestone Coffee & Tea. This thoughtful gesture not only provided a pick-me-up for individual customers but also demonstrates Hogan Design & Construction's support for local businesses. https://limestonebatavia.com
Hogan Design & Construction demonstrated its commitment to community by donating $250 worth of essential items to the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry. The donated items were carefully selected to meet the pantry's most pressing needs and will help ensure that the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry can continue to offer a lifeline to those who rely on its services. The Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry's purpose is to serve the needs of our community. Those who have lost a job, are underemployed, disabled, homeless or just have a need. https://

On the 25th of June, one of our HDC representatives had a wonderful time walking the aisles of Buikema's Ace Hardware on Loop Road in Wheaton, Illinois, spreading some Random Acts of Kindness to 25 unsuspecting individuals with the surprise of a $25.00 Ace Hardware gift card. Smiles all around!
No Hero Left Behind… June was also an opportunity for HDC to help support the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans with a $250.00 donation. This organization is a non-profit agency that provides housing, supportive services, and community outreach to help homeless and at-risk veterans and their families achieve self-sufficiency. https://www.helpaveteran.org

As part of our July Random Acts of Kindness initiative, Hogan Design & Construction proudly provided a $250.00 donation to the Glen Ellyn Park District Scholarship Program. During the 2025 Glen Ellyn Sidewalk Sale, our very own Sandy and Agnes spread some cheer by handing out $25.00 gift certificates to 25 random delighted attendees. These gift certificates could be redeemed at any participating downtown Glen Ellyn merchant, supporting both local businesses and creating a fun surprise for community members. HDC also contributed a $250.00 donation to Teen Parent Connection, a Glen Ellyn-based organization dedicated to supporting adolescent parents. Their program serves the community through education on the realities and responsibilities of teenage pregnancy and through long-term assistance to adolescent parents for their development of self-esteem, parenting skills, and empowerment towards self-sufficiency. As part of our ongoing Random Acts of Kindness initiative, Hogan Design & Construction was proud to be a sponsor of the annual Festival of the Vine in downtown Geneva, Illinois. To engage with the community and share some local cheer, HDC surprised twenty-five random festival goers with $25 gift certificates to use at participating Geneva businesses.
Continuing our commitment to giving back, HDC made a $250 donation to the Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry. This essential organization works tirelessly to combat food insecurity in the Elmhurst area, and we’re honored to support their mission. Learn more at eyfp.org

In October, Hogan Design & Construction continued its Random Acts of Kindness with a warm celebration at Buttermilk in Geneva. With the generous support of owner and district manager Cindi, HDC surprised 25 customers with $25 gift cards. Guests were delighted by the unexpected gesture, and four birthday visitors were especially thrilled to receive a celebratory gift card of their own. On October 18th, HDC was proud to be a sponsor of the Anderson Humane Fall Adopt & Shop Downtown Geneva event in collaboration with the Geneva Chamber of Commerce. Their office served as a proud stop on the “Pup Passport” tour, welcoming community members as they met adoptable dogs and supported a wonderful cause. On Veterans Day, Hogan Design & Construction proudly honored the brave men and women of the U.S. military as part of their ongoing 25th Anniversary Random Acts of Kindness Celebration. In recognition of this meaningful occasion, HDC made a $250 donation to Operation Support Our Troops – America (OSOT-A) in support of the 2025 OSOT-A Naperville Healing Field of Honor, located on Rotary Hill. This powerful tribute commemorated the 50th anniversary of welcoming home U.S. troops from the Vietnam War and served as a moving reminder of the sacrifices made by our nation’s service members. Continuing their commitment to giving back locally, HDC also supported families in need during the Thanksgiving season by donating 25 frozen turkeys to the St. Peter Community Food Pantry. Operated by St. Peter Catholic Church in Geneva, Illinois, the food pantry provides nourishing food at no cost to anyone in the community facing food insecurity. This donation helped ensure that local families could enjoy a warm holiday meal during a time traditionally centered on gratitude and togetherness. Also in November, Hogan Design & Construction further extended their community outreach with a $250 donation to The Grow Wellness Foundation. Based in Naperville, Illinois, the foundation was established in 2022 to promote mental wellness throughout the Western Suburbs of Chicago by improving access to care for underserved populations, supporting community outreach, and investing in the future of the mental health field. As Hogan Design & Construction’s 25th Anniversary year neared its end, HDC was proud to donate 25 toys valued at $20 each to Toys for Tots, delivering them to a downtown Geneva, Illinois drop-off location. The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation serves as the fundraising, funding, and support organization for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, having proudly supported this cause since 1991. On December 15th, the spirit of giving continued when our Hogan representative, Sandy, surprised 25 unsuspecting shoppers at the Ace Hardware in Geneva, Illinois, by handing out $25 gift cards to help spread holiday cheer. To further amplify this act of kindness, the owners and management of the Geneva Ace Hardware, located at 617 W. State Street, generously contributed an additional $100 in gift cards. Together, these efforts created unexpected moments of joy for local shoppers and reinforced the importance of community connection during the holidays.
Hogan Design & Construction concluded their 25th Anniversary Random Acts of Kindness Celebration by participating as a sponsor in the Giving Back Non-Profit Publication, published in December in the Kane County Chronicle. This publication offers businesses the opportunity to support and highlight local non-profit organizations making a difference in the community. HDC was once again proud to sponsor Comics For Kids, reaffirming their ongoing dedication to giving back and supporting initiatives that positively impact local families and children.
