Cheever Master Suite/Powder Room, Illinois

In this home remodeling project, the homeowners just recently installed a new in-ground pool and were growing tired of needing to lay a path of towels down throughout the house to cover their nice wood floors. The kitchen was just recently remodeled by Hogan Design & Construction only two years prior, and they wanted to preserve the beauty of their newly remodeled home. While they loved hosting their children and grandchildren, and wanted everyone to enjoy the new swimming pool, they also didn’t want to ruin their floors.

The home was in dire need of a master suite remodel, which just so happened to face the pool in the backyard. A plan was developed to fully redesign the existing master suite in their ranch home, creating a new layout that enhanced the space's functionality and consistency with the rest of their home. Furthermore, the new layout allowed for a new powder room to be added, which would act as an outdoor bathroom and changing room.

While the redesign of the master suite layout was challenging, the end result was spectacular. New built-ins and cabinetry were used throughout to preserve the organizational space of the master suite. In fact, with these storage solutions, the new master shower and vanity ended up larger than the original. Finally, the entire powder room was waterproofed, making clean up after a pool party or heavy landscaping day a breeze.

The homeowner was overjoyed with the finished result. The quality of craftsmanship, organized project schedule, and adjustment of the timeframe to accommodate extras truly left the homeowner astounded. As the project was nearing completion, the client actually jumped straight into their next remodeling project to continue transforming their home into the space of their dreams.
