Our clients wanted to update their kitchen design and improve the layout for entertaining. For this project, we took out the existing cabinetry and appliances and reconfigured the room. We added and moved plumbing, electric and gas in order to bring these homeowners’ dreams to reality.
A second dishwasher was added to ease clean up from future festivities. A new undermount, farmhouse sink replaced the old. Custom cabinetry was installed throughout to create a richness within the room. Light Quartz countertops were chosen to contrast the dark wood.
A new double oven range was installed, as well as a spigot added above the range to allow for easy pot filling. A subway glass tile backsplash treatment was applied from countertop to ceiling with a metal-framed accent above the range that coordinates with the room’s stainless appliances. A custom hood was built to match the cabinetry.
A new, elongated galley island was added along with a beverage fridge and microwave drawer. At one end, cabinetry was recessed with a large countertop overhang to permit additional seating for four. New pendant lights were hung along the center of the island and an additional fixture above the kitchen table.
A separate fridge and freezer were installed to make room for a host’s menu. A designated office space was built to provide additional home organization and a mirror that hides a television finished off the room.
