The homeowners were looking to update their kitchen to reflect their current style. They wanted a more open feel and to lighten up the space. The clients also needed more functional storage and wished to upgrade their appliances.
To open up the space, we added a pass-through window with a countertop bar from the kitchen to the family room. The new opening allowed for additional natural light to enter the space.
Customized floor-to-ceiling, Shaker white cabinetry replaced the old and additional units were added to create the storage solutions they needed. A completely custom island, butler’s pantry and breakfast nook hutch were constructed and function for their needs and lifestyle.
Top of the line appliances were added to make this space a chef’s dream including: a Wolf Six Burner dual range with infrared griddle, two under-the-counter beverage centers, dishwasher, and microwave drawer. A custom hood was built and installed above the rangetop.
This room has a strong architectural style with all the details making a striking impression. The shiplap board and batten ceiling and detailed crown molding create a modernized, timeless look. The different color of the island and butler’s pantry create interest without darkening up the space. The white quartz countertops are functional and beautiful providing a low maintenance solution for the family. The statement light fixtures put the finishing touch on this fresh and bright renovated family gathering space.
