The clients wanted to start fresh in their kitchen and make it their own. They desired to add a new window for additional light and a new additional patio door. The main floor was raised to meet the mudroom height and new hardwood flooring was then installed.

A new, large custom square island was built to serve as a center focal point with a built-in convection microwave and plumbing added for the new prep sink. Custom, floor-to-ceiling white cabinetry with architectural detail and lighted glass displays created a fresh clean palette. While the dark quartz countertops create contrast and tie the space back to the rich wood of the mudroom through the new arched doorway.

The pantry was reconfigured. A paneled fridge, freezer and dishwasher were installed to stay hidden within the design. A new apron sink and faucet create a nice vignette under the new window and the soft-hued glass tile backsplash with a patterned accent take it from a traditional style kitchen to a more modern look and feel.
