As a luxury design-build firm, Hogan Design & Construction (HDC) knows that the success of any home remodeling project or new construction property is contingent on the teamwork involved to make it run smoothly. And, to make each project a true luxury experience, it also takes a solidly defined vision brought to life through exceptional design and meticulous planning to achieve the dreams of our clients. Key to this process is an experienced interior designer with a strong, varied style sense and great listening and communication skills.

With over 20 years in the industry, we have worked with a number of designers, and while many can have a strong sense of style, not all are created equal. In this blog, we want to call out our list of the top 5 interior designers in the western suburbs of Chicago. These designers continue to inspire us and come highly recommended from our own experience with them directly or through other builders and homeowners we know.

HDC’s Exceptional Interior Design Partners

At HDC, we work with both our in-house team of experienced and thoughtful designers as well as our extraordinary partner designers to deliver on our clients’ aspirations for their homes. We have seen, firsthand, their quality of design, attention to detail, and most importantly, their ability to translate client conversations into spectacular design selections and plans. The following three partner designers are exceptional at what they do and have a proven track record with us.

Haven Design Group

Haven Design Group (HDG) and its founder, Cara Mamott, have been with us since the start of our company’s evolution from a general remodeling contractor to the full-service, luxury design-build firm we are today. We have learned and grown together, with their rented space located in the upstairs room of our headquarters at 21 N 6th St in Geneva to their new location in the former Erday building (a partnered commercial renovation project).

HDG’s residential designs are inviting and inspiring. The transformation of each and every space we have worked on with Cara and her team has been noteworthy, and we continue to hear how much the end results have positively impacted the lives of the homeowners. These spaces are truly the conversation starters the HDG team promises.

Additionally, Haven Design Group’s holistic approach to commercial businesses is unique to the industry, with a focus on the creation and development of a brand and its essence delivered through their agency services and their interior design.

Intentional Spaces, LLC

Lisa Anderson of Intentional Spaces, LLC is the newest addition to our interior design partner lineup but has already earned a reputation in our company as an excellent listener and communicator with a strong technical design skill set and an amazing sense of style.

Lisa’s strong organizational skills and her ability to translate our customers' personal tastes into beautiful designs while staying within budget is inspiring.

With her extensive design background in interior design, architectural design, and even furniture design, she is truly an expert in creating functional spaces that work for our clients' lives and look amazing in the process.

VARA Design

VARA Design, located in Aurora, IL, continues to deliver cutting-edge residential and commercial designs that are striking and functional. Their award-winning work can be found in homes, businesses, and institutions.
